Voters pass 2022-2023 Budget

Voters in the Hancock Central School District passed the District’s 2022-2023 Proposed School Budget of $12,300,741 by a margin of 116 YES votes to 50 NO votes on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Community residents also approved the following propositions:
  • Louise Adelia Read Memorial Library’s $89,652 budget, 136-32
  • Buses, 116-51
  • Establishment of Capital Reserve Fund for Construction, Repair, Reconstruction of Capital Improvements and Acquisition of Equipment, 119-48
  • Establishment of Capital Reserve Fund for Acquisition of Vehicles Used for the Transportation of Students, 107-45
Voters also elected Gene Homer (134 votes), Todd Jacobs (131) and Cliff A. Johnston (100) to the Hancock CSD Board of Education, as well as Gerald DaBrescia (132) and William Gross (136) to the Louise Adelia Read Memorial Library Board.
