Hancock graduate receives recognition for athletic ability
A Hancock Central School District (HCSD) graduate scored the game winning throw in a basketball game for the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) late last month, and continues to be recognized for her athletic ability.

Hancock graduate Laycee Drake made a last second and game winning basket against New Jersey Institute of Technology’s (NJIT) Highlanders a few weeks ago. Laycee’s shot was highlighted by SportsCenter as their number one buzzer beater, and her work was again recognized this week naming her one of the UMBC Athletes of The Week.

Laycee also scored 11 points in her team’s recent 80-70 loss against Binghamton University.
